My services
My tuition and courses for KS3 and GCSE students will help them to feel confident going into their English exams and support them in achieving their desired grades. By building confidence and tailoring lessons to their interests, my lessons and online workshops inspire success for all.
I also teach home-educated learners and adults returning to education. I work with you to create a programme to suit your needs - from top-up tutoring to fully delivered courses with support to book exams with an external provider.
I mainly teach online via Zoom, but face-to-face provision is available to local Coventry/ Warwickshire learners.

About Me

Hiring a private tutor for one-to-one or small group support outside of the classroom provides the opportunity for lessons to be personally crafted, ensuring that they are motivating and truly meet individual needs.
I take the stress out of learning English, providing clear explanations and using engaging resources and tasks that bring English to life.
My friendly and warm teaching style, combined with a holistic approach to GCSE English tutoring, ensures that my students always feel valued, inspired, and empowered to reach their goals.
My expertise
I have a first-class degree in English Language & Literature and completed my teacher training at The University of Warwick in 2018.
During my career in family support and teaching, I have worked in many different settings with children and adults from diverse backgrounds. Alongside offering home tuition, I currently work in Family Learning, delivering workshops and courses to adults across Coventry.
I am also CELTA qualified and often work with learners who have English as a second language.
I have been successfully tutoring GCSE students online and face-to-face for over four years.
Background
A change-maker at heart, I am determined to make a positive difference to my corner of the world. I love supporting my learners to find their confidence and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Whilst training to become an English teacher in further education, I saw that the classroom doesn't always offer students everything that they need to excel and often shoehorns learners into a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I felt that there had to be another way!
I created 'Study with Sarah' to make GCSE English Language and Literature accessible for all; enabling each and every student to achieve their aims.
I work with KS3 & GCSE pupils, home-educated students, adults returning to education, and learners with English as a second language.
